CCMCSUM13-02 Color Challenge

What a great week it’s been for the Create with Connie & Mary: Summer Collection!  The projects and tutorials are wonderful and SO fun!  We end this week with another challenge – a COLOR challenge this week:

Two new In Colors coupled with a neutral.  Here’s my card for this challenge:

Week 3 challenge

I went with a vintage feel for my card today.  It just felt right with that fun antique phone image!

My base is Very Vanilla and so is the circle focal point.  The paper doilies from Stampin’ Up! are white but I really wanted to use one on this card.  I solved that problem by sponging one with Crisp Cantaloupe ink and crumpling it before attaching it behind the focal point.  For a bigger pop of color, I added a 2 1/2″ Crisp Cantaloupe circle behind the doily.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Timeless Talk

Ink & Paper – Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding Soft Suede

Accessories  – Big Shot, Argyle embossing folder, Bitty Banners framelits, Very Vintage designer button, baker’s twine, 3/4″ & 1″ circle punches, pearl accents, paper doily

I hope you join us in this week’s color challenge.  Visit the Create with Connie & Mary site for more information.

I love the idea of sponging the doily. So many color choices! Can’t wait to play with my set – thanks for the inspiration!
