Ornament Keepsakes sample-1

Today’s card sample is another project for my 10th Annual Christmas Card Class.  It features the ornament embossed with silver powder on Pool Party cardstock and framed in white and our new Silver Foil paper.  To make the card a bit more exciting, I used an uneven shutter door effect on the card front and the doors open up to reveal the stamped Christmas message.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Ornament Keepsakes, More Merry Messages

Ink & Paper – Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Festive Flurry DSP

Accessories – Big Shot & Ornament framelits, Labels Collection framelits, silver embossing powder, heat gun, 1/8″ silver ribbon

My card today is a simple but elegant card designed for new stampers.  I will be sharing this at a class in November to ladies not familiar with stamping.  I like it’s simplicity with few colors and embellishments but it’s still striking to look at.  I love that in homemade cards!

Supplies used:

Stamps – More Merry Messages, Ornamental Keepsakes

Ink & Paper – Real Red, Whisper White, Gumball Green

Accessories – Big Shot, Fancy Fan embossing folder, Ornament framelits, scallop trim edge punch, dimensionals, 1/8″ taffeta ribbon

Before I get to the Organized Christmas assignments for the week, I have a card to share with you!  Three of my stamp clubs meet this week and for one of them, I’m showcasing the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set.  This is one of three cards using this set that I’ll be teaching on Wednesday night.  I found this layout here and loved it, so I kept it the same but I changed up the colors of ornaments from the original.  I love it’s simplicity and elegance!!

Supplies used:

Stamps – Ornament Keepsakes, Fabulous Phrases

Ink & Paper – Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White

Accessories – Big Shot & Holiday Ornament framelits, Holiday Frame embossing folder, dimensionals, rhinestone gems, 1/8″taffeta ribbon

We are officially half way through our holiday planning!  It may not seem like it right now, but if you have been keeping up with the weekly suggestions, you have done SO much already!  Now, let’s get to some REALLY fun stuff this week – SHOPPING!

Today let’s think about the Christmas stockings.  I don’t know about you, but most years I get caught last minute, December 23rd or 24th, with not having an even amount of stocking stuffers for each of my daughters.  Talk about stressful!!  Then I’m making another extra trip to a store to try and even things out!  Let’s avoid that this year…

Page 11 of the Christmas Holiday Planner is a list to keep you on track as you make stocking stuffer purchases.  Each time you are out and pick up some little thing for a stocking, write it down.  You can keep this list with you as you shop, or at home – whichever works best for you.  I know this will be a life saver for me – and I hope you – this year!

In keeping with our  Christmas Card week for the 8 Weeks of Christmas Planning,

and as promised on Monday,

I have developed TWO different stamp set samplers for you to use to make your Christmas cards this year using fabulous products from the Stampin Up! Holiday Catalogue.

These set samplers each showcase 5 different ways to use the images within the stamp set.

Here’s the first set using Joyous Celebrations:

Joyous Celebrations Set Sampler

Using Snow Festival DSP, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze & Gumball Green colors

$1.99 CAD

And the second set using the gorgeous Ornament Keepsakes:

Ornament Keepsakes Set Sampler

Using More Merry Messages stamp set, Snow Festival DSP, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Baja Breeze cardstock

$1.99 CAD

Each set sampler includes individual project photos, full supply lists, all cutting dimensions and step by step instructions in assembling each card.  I purposely kept stamp sets and color combinations the same for each sampler to ensure all projects could be made with just a few supplies.

To purchase either or both set samplers, click on the “Add to Cart” buttons under the small widget photos on the right side of this page.

Hope you Enjoy!

Okay all you Christmas planners – it’s now Week #2 of an Enjoyable Organized Christmas here at Inkingoutofthebox and this week, we are concentrating on…

CHRISTMAS CARDS!

That’s what we do best though – right?!

Hopefully last week you started your December calendar planning and scheduled (or even had taken) your family photos for sending in Christmas cards and letters.

If you haven’t purchased this planner yet for $4.99 – you can still take advantage of it by clicking on the small widget on the right side of this website.  You too can have a stress-free enjoyable Christmas holiday by following this 8 week plan laid out weekly here at Inkingoutofthebox.

This week we are working on page 6 of the Christmas Holiday Planner.

Write out your Christmas List this week.  Print off as many of page 6 as you need!  I know there are some of you who may send 75 to 100 Christmas cards a year – YOU SIMPLY AMAZE ME!

How ever many you send, write out that list this week.  This will let you know how many cards you are going to need to make…

You are hand-making them, right?

Of course you are!  LOL

We will be putting them in envelopes, addressing them and mailing at a later time.

So this week, I’m sharing a week’s worth of ideas for you to CASE all you want.

I also will be introducing two different stamp set samplers that will have 5 cards each – watch for that on Wednesday!!

Here’s a card to get us started this week:

This beauty was made at my 9th Annual Christmas Card Class last week and it was the favorite of many who came.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Ornament Keepsakes, Petit Pairs

Ink & Paper – Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Sliver Glimmer paper, and Island Indigo (ink only)

Accessories – Big Shot & Ornament framelits, Fancy Fan embossing folder, Tasteful Trim die, pearl accents, dimensionals
