One of my club hostesses for the month of November chose the set, “In Wilderness” to be featured.  If you have followed my blog for long, you probably have noticed I do “girly, frilly, and colorful” projects.

 Masculine cards…not so much.  Maybe because I have 4 daughters…maybe because I love frilly…doesn’t matter…

This is why I’m loving the way my stamp clubs have changed this year!  Having my club hostesses choose the stamp set featured, forces me to be a little more creative in my thinking and designing.  I needed to get out of my comfort zone and experiment with images that I didn’t instantly know what to do with.

I also get to own stamp sets I ordinarily wouldn’t buy for myself.  After this month, I can now say I finally own a masculine stamp set!  Yah me!!

Here’s what I came up with in the category of masculine – be gentle, it’s my first time!

Out of all three cards, Chris, hubby dearest, said this is his favorite – he couldn’t give me a reason though…

Colors are Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze

Besides In Wilderness, I also used Inspired by Nature and the Square Lattice embossing folder

Colors are Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke and Confetti White

I also used the stamp set Lovely as a Tree and embossed the pine trees with clear embossing powder on the Baja piece

Colors are More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla

The watercoloring was done with the colors Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede

The Happy Birthday stamp is from All Holidays

I have a large stamp class to teach tonight so I’m off to set up for that!

TTFN!

Natasha
