I knew the minute I saw this beautiful winter boot image, I was going to have to bring out my puff paint for the furry trim.  Here in Canada, boots always have furry trim and lining, so these needed to be no exception! 🙂

This card was seriously fun to make!  I love the fun and whimsical halloween colors and images I got to use on this project.  This witch’s boot screams whimsy so I just went with it and added as much fun to the cardfront as I dared.

I stamped the boot image in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White.  I then added some color to the dots with Pumpkin Pie and Gumball Green markers.  I cut out the boot and adhered it to my scallop circle embellishment. 

I love this card – I smile everytime I look at it.  It’s just happy.  🙂

I’ve decided to challenge myself to make some more set samplers with stamps sets I have purchased from the new annual and Holiday catalogues.  It’s been fun to use the stamp set more than once before it goes in the cupboard. 

Up this week – Bootiful Occasions!

This was the first stamp set I just had to own for myself upon viewing the annual catalogue back in the spring.  I have used it a few times this summer but it was more fun to create a whole bunch of cards with it at once!

You can’t tell in this photo, but the clouds glitter and shine!  I added Dazzling Details to each cloud after I had colored them.  It finishes the card nicely.

I realized something about this set while working with it…did you notice that all 4 seasons are respresented in this set?

I just noticed this as I was creating these, but I could just be late to the ball game – it wouldn’t be the first time! lol

I absolutely had to have the Bootiful Occasions stamp set from the new catalogue.  The images are just SO fun!

To make this card, I first cut my stamp into two pieces – the boot and the sentiment are now seperate stamps so no more masking!  I then inked the outline of the boot with a black marker and stamped it onto some DSP and cut two of them out.
