I saw this bag first in the September Stampin’ Success Magazine (a monthly publication for Stampin’ Up! demos) and admired demonstrator Allison Ohran’s imagination and creativity but when I found her blog and discovered a tutorial to make this bag, I now think she is extremely talented AND gracious for sharing!  I’ll show you my creation then share the link to Allison’s blog so you can view her tutorial and make one for yourself!

P.S.  Thanks LeAnne for ditching work and coming to “play” on Friday – I had a great time!

This view shows the bag head on!  My girlfriend and downline LeAnne came over on Friday and she did a great job choosing colors for us to work with, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip (boy, we sure do miss Baja Breeze!!!!)  We also textured all pieces using a Texturz plate from the Backgrounds 1 set.

This view helps you see the inside of the bag a bit.  We did “line” the inside of the bag according to the directions, with Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The bag’s handles are Brocade Blue cardstock and 5/8″ Chocolate Chip grograin ribbon.  LeAnne came up with a great embellishment at the handles using  3/4″ Brocade circles and a Filigree Designer brad in the middle – love it!!!

This photo is fuzzy and I did try a couple of times to get a clearer shot of the finishing touches but this is what I have – sorry!  The emblem is made with 1 3/4″ white circle backed with Chocolate Chip.  The bird from Friends 24-7 stamp set was inked with Brocade Blue and Night of Navy and Chocolate Chip shadows were added with markers.  We finished the whole thing with a couple of little leaf sprigs punched in Mellow Moss.

We did have a great time together making this amazing bag although it did take us about 3 hours to finish!!  If you would like to make one for yourself, you can visit Allison’s tutorial here.

Thanks for visiting!  TTFN,

Natasha
