Proud Mama Moment

By

Kessia - Alice-1

Last week, our youngest daughter had the busiest week of her young life so far.  She played Alice in her middle school production of Alice in Wonderland!  The cast has been practicing each week since November and because Alice is in each scene, she has practiced daily until 5 or 5:30 since then!  I’m so proud of her dedication and reliability!!!

We were asked to not take photos during the play so I had to wait patiently until after the show before I could get her with my camera!

Alice in Wonderland card

Just before she went on stage for her last performance of the week, I had this card delivered to her back stage letting her know how excited I  was to finally be able to see and enjoy all her hard work.

I saw a similar Alice in Wonderland  costume design on Pinterest and knew I had to make one for my sweet girl.  The All Dressed Up framelits made this SO easy and I LOVE how it turned out!!

I cut a dress from Pacific Point cardstock and one from Whisper White.  I cut down the white dress to form an apron and used the very bottom of the white dress to put behind the blue dress as a pinafore.  To make the collar, I used a 1/2″ circle cut in half on each side of the apron.  I used the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set and heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

Thanks for letting me share a little family stuff with you today and I’ll be back tomorrow!

TTFN!
