giftboxcard
I’m excited to be sharing my stamping creations with all of my customers and friends on the web!!  This is very exciting for me as well as intimidating and scary!  I’m definitely treading into unknown territory, but right now, I have butterflies in my stomach as I think how fun it will be to share my enthusiasm for this craft with so many more papercrafters.  I hope the samples I post to my blog will be inspiring for you and springboard you into creating your own works of art!
I chose this first card to  show you, as it has many of my favorite things.  My absolutely favorite thing to do on a cardfront is add texture with my Big Shot and Texturz plates and then sponge on some color.  You’ll see this technique over and over!  I do try to make cards without texturizing, but always tell myself it looks “unfinished” and I go back and add some ink!  You’ll see an example of this in a few days time…
Another thing I love is dimension!  I’m not great at simplified cardfronts – this may be something I have to experiment with more in the future.  I love the addition of felt flowers and tissue paper.  I also used some left over cord I still had in my ribbon stash from the 2008 Holiday Mini. This cord made perfect “gift bag handles”.
I hope you like it and I hope to have you visit me again real soon!
