More Framed Art Pieces

Remember this piece of work I made during the summer?

Well, while I was instructing this class in September, I suggested the idea to do a piece of art centered around the Christmas theme.  Here’s what I came up with:

This “Jingle” piece was made with the Jolly Holiday DSP pack and a whole bunch of Christmas themed products.  The colors I used are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.

But I didn’t stop there…

My pack of Candy Cane Christmas DSP was sitting on my table and it did not want to be left out of the fun!!

As you can see, depending on the colors and the “word” you decide to feature, you can dictate the whole mood of the art piece.  Are you going for fun or elegant?  Vintage or Modern?  Flashy or subtle? It’s all up to you!

I would love to see what you come up with!  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Fall, Winter… the possibilities are endless…

I am holding another class for this project in November.  If you are in the Calgary area and want more details, contact me at nzandbergen@shaw.ca

I am so hooked on this project! I made one last weekend that I will give as a Christmas present and now I want to make more. Using JINGLE and HO HO HO in the frame is a great idea, can’t wait to try it out.

Thanks again for sharing this project.
