It’s My Anniversary!

Yesterday, April 4th, marked my anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!  My papers were processed by head office (in those days we had to mail them in – how primitive!!) on April 4th, 2003.  I can’t believe I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for 7 years!  People often ask me how long I’ll stay with the company. My answer is always the same: “as long as I’m still having fun”.  Well, I’m still having fun and loving every minute of it!!  I’m thrilled with the accomplishments I have made as a demonstrator – I never dreamed I would have built the business I have today.  I love sharing new products and techniques with my friends and customers and sharing the opportunity that Stampin’ UP! offers creative women.  Here’s my story:

My girlfriend Dee came to visit me in March 2003 and showed me a catalogue for a new craft company in Canada.  She had just attended a workshop at another friend’s home and came away with a catalogue.  She lent it to me for a few days so I could see the fun products and she said I should consider signing up with the company.  Stampin’ Up! was new to Canada and she said it was a perfect time to join.  I said forget it as I felt I was too shy and didn’t know enough ladies who liked to craft.  I did spend the next few days pouring over the many catalogue pages, admiring products I had never seen before!  The catalogue was also amazing – I loved the many card and gift packaging ideas it presented.  When it came time for Dee to go home, I couldn’t give her back the catalogue as I was choosing the stamp sets and ink colors for my starter kit!  That’s right, it took me about 3 days to go from “No Way” to “I can’t wait to get my starter kit!”

That was such a leap of faith for me, but I’m so glad I made the choice to sign up.  Stampin’ Up! is an amazing company that I am proud to represent.

If you have considered taking a leap of faith like I did and sign with Stampin’ Up!, I would love to sit and have a chat and share with you more wonderful benefits I have received since April 2003.
