Gifts from the Heart

Today it’s all about the homemade gifts! We all need a few little “gifts from the heart” this time of year. Whether it’s for your UPS man, your next door neighbours, coworkers, or your child’s teacher, start thinking about which gifts you’d like to make this year to show your appreciation!

Here are some samples for you to get your creative juices flowing:

These little cuties are easy to mass produce if you need several gifts.  It’s easy to cut many stockings at the same time with the stocking die and the Big Shot.  I cut several stockings from Real Red cardstock and Vellum cardstock.  I sewed up the edges, filled them with M&M candies and stapled them shut.  The stamp comes from the set “Tages Til Christmas”.

You know I’m all about the chocolate, so here is another nifty way to wrap it up for the holidays:

Here’s a few instructions to help you recreate this little package:

1.  Cut Gumball Green cardstock to 2 3/4″x 5″ .  Score lengthwise at 1/2″, 2 3/4″and 3″.

2.  Fold on all score lines; staple front tab up and adhere chocolate into matchbook.

3.  White cardstock front measures 1 3/4″x 2 1/2″ and DSP pieces measures 1 9/16″x 2 5/16″.  Decorate front cover as desired.  I used the Scentsational Season stamp set and matching framelits as well as the Tiny Tags stamp set.

Have a great weekend!!  TTFN!

Wow!!!!!! That Stocking is absolutely awesome and eye-catching (a curious thing)! I LOVE that! Thanks for your inspiration to make some for ourselves… and I love your little Andes Mint matchbox also; cute, cute, cute! Thanks so much for sharing! Warmly, Donna

  3. Donna says:

Not “matchbox” but “match book,” sorry.
I don’t sew, is that sewing easy to do? You don’t pin anything together but hold top/bottom together and run it through the machine? Thanks!!! – Donna

  4. Natasha says:

You got it! No pinning needed! Good luck…natasha
