Easter Blossoms Set Samples

By

I am in LOVE with this stamp set and Springtime Vintage DSP – the color combos make me happy!

I usually only make 3 sample cards, using all the stamps within a set, but I couldn’t stop making cards this week!  I’ve made 5 so far and only stopped because other projects needed my attention.  I’ll get back to playing with it, I’m sure…

I’ll show you 3 cards today and the rest tomorrow.

This is one card we will be making at stamp club on Friday.  Colors are Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Rose Red

The gathered ribbon effect on this card is so easy to do when using the seam binding in the Occasions Mini catalogue.  Give it a try!

Colors are Baja Breeze (I love you!), Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, and River Rock

This one is another stamp club project for Friday.  I love the vintage wallpaper look of this DSP!

And, I finally got to use my new glass glitter we received at Leadership (thank-you Stampin’ Up!).  Colors are Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, and Very Vanilla

On another note…

…one of the other pressing projects I’ve been working on this week is very special to me.  My sister Amanda had a baby boy in August of 2009, born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.  Matthew has spent many hours at the Alberta Children’s Hospital during his little life, including 3 surgery’s so far.

On February 10th, my sister will be sharing Matthew’s story on the radio for the annual Radio-thon to raise funds for this hospital.  Amanda and I are hoping to raise funds in Matthew’s name at a special stamping event held the day before.  I am preparing 5 different cards for guests to come and make.  All proceeds from the $4 cost/card, will be donated to the hospital in his name.  I’m also putting together a basket full of fun stamping gear to be auctioned off at the event.

Here is a photo of Matthew at 6 weeks of age:

and here is the same child, at 1 year:

It’s amazing how much they have been able to help Matthew so far!!  He is so sweet and precious!

If you are a reader who lives close by, we would love for you to come and stamp with us at our Open House Benefit on February 9th.  PLEASE email me for more details.

TTFN,

Natasha

Natasha, your cards are wonderful and I hope to CASE them once I get that set! But my real comment is on your nephew! He is SO cute! Rockin the faux-hawk! My husband was born with the same issue and today most people can’t even tell. Today’s technology is even better so I’m sure Matthew will come through everything so awesomely!
