CWCM Winter Collection – Week 3 Challenge

Week 3 has just ended over at Create with Connie and Mary and so we finish with a challenge for the designers and for YOU!  This week we have been given another great sketch challenge – what would you make with this as your inspiration???

Here’s what I made:

I switched the horizontal strip from the top of the card and brought it more to the bottom of the cardfront.  the balance worked better with the image sizes I was working with.

I love the little Christmas tree!!  I stamped the image onto DSP and paper pieced it into a tree stamped on white and punched out with a 2 1/2″ circle punch.  I then added a bunch of Cherry Cobbler candy dots as ornaments.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Color Me Christmas, More Merry Messages

Ink & Paper – Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP, Black Stazon, Early Espresso & Crushed Curry markers

Accessories – Big Shot & Perfect Pennants die, 2 1/2″ circle punch, scallop edge punch, candy dots

Now we want you to play with this sketch!  Visit Create with Connie and Mary to see the sketch again and to take a peek at what all the designers made using it.  Then get paper crafty and make your own card using this sketch as YOUR inspiration!
