CCMC237 – Hearts a Flutter

It’s Thursday which means it’s time for a creative challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  Here’s the sketch we got to work with:

Isn’t this a fun and different layout?!

Here’s what I came up with:

My first thought upon seeing the sketch was to cut up a scallop square and use that as the background.  Once that was decided, I flipped open my new package of Print Poetry DSP and picked a pattern to work with.  I took my color cues from the pattern and formed the focal point using those colors and the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and matching framelits.  I finished it all off with an Itty Bitty sentiment. 🙂

Supplies used:

Stamps – Hearts a Flutter, Itty Bitty Banners

Ink & Paper – Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Basic Grey, Print Poetry DSP

Accessories – Big Shot & Hearts a Flutter framelits, Polka Dots embossing folder, Bitty Banners framelit, Scallop Squares Duo die, 1 3/4″ circle punch, stitched satin ribbon, dimensionals

Make sure to check out the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary to see their interpretation of the Color Challenge! And…sign up for the Spring Edition 2013 of Create with Connie and Mary while you are there!!! You’ll be glad you did!
