CCMC-OCC2 – Sketch Challenge

It’s Saturday and that means a special Occasions 2013 challenge over at Create With Connie and Mary!  We just finished week 2 out of 5 from the Occasions 2013 Edition and there were many exciting projects shared this week by the designers – great work ladies!!!

Here is the challenge Connie & Mary have for this week – it’s a great sketch:

And here is my interpretation of this sketch:

I LOVE sketch challenges – nothing gets my creative juices flowing like a good sketch!  There are no rules with a sketch – just go with what comes to mind first and run with it!

I started with a 2 1/2″ circle punch which helped me in choosing a stamp image.  There were many matt choices for this circle but I decided to use the Window Frames framelit.  I decided on the color Summer Starfruit which quickly led me to the Sycamore Street DSP patterns and…VOILA – a card was born!!

Supplies used:

Stamps – Feeling Sentimental

Ink & Paper – Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Sycamore Street DSP, Summer Starfruit, Baja Breeze

Accessories – Big Shot & Window Frames framelit, 2 1/2″ circle punch, Designer Brad, dimensionals

Now head on over to Create With Connie and Mary, take the sketch and try this challenge for yourself!  We would love to see what you create!!

  1. Love it, Natasha!!! Great combination of shapes and colors…best card I’ve seen using this set! Cute filigree brad, too!

  2. This paper and stamp set combo really makes the Summer Starfruit color look yummy! Beautiful card.

  3. Terry Blais says:

The Sycamore Street paper really stands out on your card. It’s beautiful!
