Emboss Resist Upsy Daisy

I’m very sad to see this stamp set retire 
It’s been a favorite of mine since it’s release. I’m giving it one last hurrah this week at stamp club on Wednesday. Here’s the first card that will be made – using the emboss resist technique – an oldie but a goodie!
Supplies used:
Stamps – Upsy Daisy
Ink & Paper – Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Accessories – Big Shot & Framed Tulips embossing folder, eyelet border punch, scallop oval punch, rhinestone gem, ruffled ribbon, dimensional

Bright Blossoms

Today, the weather is gloomy and drizzly here, so I needed some bright colors in my life – they definitely made me smile!
Supplies used:
Stamps – Bright Blossoms, Petit Pairs
Ink & Paper – Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Summer Smooches DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango – that’s a lot of color!
Accessories – Decorative Label punch, Oval punch, circle punches (different sizes), rhinestone accents, Daffodil Delight seam binding

It’s the time of year when we say good-bye to many of our annual catalogue favorites and get ready to be amazed by another NEW annual catalogue.
Click on the above links to view the products that are available only until supplies last (excluding stamp sets – they can be ordered right up until May 31st)
As you look at the retired accessories list, you’ll note that all of our Stampin’ Pads are listed. This is for two reasons:
(1) Craft Stampin’ Pads will now only be available in black and white; and
(2) Stampin’Up! is introducing a new Firm Foam pad in Classic Stampin’ Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.
The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images. They will be available for order on June 1.
In addition, please note the following changes in the new catalog, which explain some of the products appearing on the retired list:
- Only select Stampin’ Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin’ Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
- 12″ x 12″ Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered.
- 12″ x 12″ Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections.
- Any item with an asterisk next to it is being reconfigured. An example of this could be repackaging, as in the example above of the markers.
- Craft Ink Pads (other than black or white per above) and Craft Refills will no longer be offered.
- Classic Ink Refills (other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors) will still be available.
- Stampin’ Spots are being discontinued. Stampin’ Up! may possibly reconfigure & sell some of the Classic Ink Spots.
- Other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors, the Stampin’ Up! colors are NOT retiring.

New Catalogue Excitement
Posted by: | CommentsJuly is the most exciting time of year for stampers – the Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue is released so we have bunches of new product to oogle over.
Let’s get ready…
Here’s a sneak peak at some new colors and DSP.
This card is made with Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist, with the flower made from Pumpkin Pie and Real Red and of course the Sizzix daisies #2 die. The DSP is a beautiful new pack called Greenhouse Gala. The ribbon is also a new offering this catalogue and is 1/8″ taffeta in Daffodil Delight. I know that the corduroy buttons are being discountinued, but I just had to use them one more time!

So Long…Farewell…
Posted by: | CommentsI was looking over the sets in my stamp cupboard that are retiring soon and decided to break open a couple of the boxes. Here is what I came up with yesterday:
I love how this one turned out!! I wish I would have thought of it months ago so it could have been shown in a workshop. There are a lot of retiring products used here:

stamps – Framed with Love and Once Upon a Time
ink – Versamark, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss
accessories – Pretties Kit, dimensionals, stampin’ pastels, scallop edge punch
This set has always been a favorite of mine – so long Embrace Life!

cardstock – Whisper White, Old Olive, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Ruby Red
