To celebrate this release and the good things that come with a new catalogue, I’m hosting an Open House!

This card combines quite a few new products – have you noticed that pennants are all the rage right now???  Of course Stampin’Up! is staying right on top of current trends for us!

I’ve been making many of 3 x 3 cards lately.  They pack a lot of punch in a little area!  Look at all the new products…

In my opinion, this new stamp called “Homemade”is genius!  I think everyone should have a good supply of tags made up with this stamp, ready to use.

 I’m patiently (okay, not really) waiting for my really big box of new catalogue goodies to arrive so I can start making my New Product Cards Class samples.  I can’t wait to get my hands on things like textured poly ribbon in the In Colors, Elegant Soiree DSP and matching Elegant Lines embossing folder, 2-step Owl punch, antique brads, and paper daisies, just to name a few of the items arriving soon.  And the stamp sets I’m really excited for are: The Nicest Things, Aviary, Perfect Punches and Notably Ornate with matching Music Notes standard sized wheel.

These two cards were such a hit with everyone.  They are quick to put together, but beautiful at the same time.  Everything a card should be!

I’ve got another killer recipe for you.  I have been searching for years for a creamy and fluffy filling to go into cupcakes or between two soft cookies or even a multi-layer cake.  And when I say years, I mean I’ve been searching at least 10 years.  Nothing has ever caught my eye as THE fluffy filling I’ve been searching for…until Friday night.

I found it!  I just knew by reading the recipe that it was THE ONE!  I ran to the grocery store for the one ingredient I didn’t have to make the filling, came home and whipped up some cupcakes (Martha Stewart’s Devil’s Food cupcake recipe). While they were baking, I got to make the fun part – the creamy white fluffy filling.  Upon tasting the filling for the first time, I squealed with delight – it is THE ONE!  I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!

Here is the finished product and the recipe so you can jump for joy also!

Fluffy Cream Filling – for just about anything!

2 tsp. very hot water

1/4 tsp. salt

7 oz. marshmallow cream

1/2 cup shortening

1/3 cup icing sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Put hot water in small bowl, add salt and allow to dissolve; cool.

Whip the remaining ingredients until fluffy.  Add the salt water and whip well again.  Pipe into cupcake centers or between two chocolate cookies, etc.

My new catalogue open house is tomorrow and I’m so excited to show off some of the wonderful new products Stampin’ Up! has to offer!  Guests will have the opportunity to pick up the new catalogue and make tabs for each section, browse through my garage sale of retired items, view examples of summer class projects, and of course, make this card.  Here is the inside:

Let’s get ready…

Here’s a sneak peak at some new colors and DSP. 

 This card is made with Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist, with the flower made from Pumpkin Pie and Real Red and of course the Sizzix daisies #2 die.  The DSP is a beautiful new pack called Greenhouse Gala. The ribbon is also a new offering this catalogue and is 1/8″ taffeta in Daffodil Delight.  I know that the corduroy buttons are being discountinued, but I just had to use them one more time!
