Vintage Christmas Stocking Card

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Another project for my annual Christmas Card class coming up in 2 weeks:

Today’s feature is a card made from the large stocking die.  I was able to make it a traditional top-hinged card by folding cardstock in half and running it through the Big Shot without cutting the top off.  I also made sure I sized it to fit into our medium square envelopes.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Bells & Boughs

Paper & Ink – Riding Hood Red, Sahara Sand,  Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, More Mustard and Early Espresso inks

Accessories - Big Shot, Holiday Stocking die, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Vanilla satin ribbon, velvet stitched ribbon, linen thread, mini jingle bells, Decorative Label punch, dimensionals

I saw this card on Lisa Young’s blog, Add Ink and Stamp, and was mesmermized by the sparkle she added to her cardfront with some glimmer stars.  I used that as inspiration for my version above.

You’ll definitely find this card at my annual Christmas Card Class in October!

Supplies used:

stamps – The Sounding Joy

ink & paper – Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede, cardstock vellum, silver glimmer paper

accessories – Big Shot and square lattice embossing folder, stars die, silver brads, silver embossing powder, dimensionals

Welcome Christmas…a little early!

Posted by: | Comments (1)

“Welcome Christmas”!

Okay, it might be a little early to welcome Christmas just yet, but I couldn’t help it – it’s the name of this great stamp set!

I love the family scene image in this set and I love how it’s the main focus on this card.  I can feel the snow falling around me as I peek in on this family’s holiday moment through the window.

This card will be one of the projects for my 8th Annual Christmas Card Class in October.  I have finished all the projects and will be posting them here over the next week.  Check back daily for more projects.

If you are in the Calgary area and want to attend a great day of Christmas crafting, email me at nzandbergen@shaw.ca for details.

Supplies used:

Stamps – Welcome Christmas

Ink and Paper – Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Frostwood Lodge DSP, Whisper White, Black Stazon and So Saffron inks

Accessories – Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon, antique brad, dimensionals, piercing tools

TTFN!
