I promised to show you the WOW project my guests will be making at my Christmas card class tomorrow – here it is!

It’s a magnetic ribbon bookmark with matching gift box – if you choose to actually give it away!

I really liked the bookmark my mother-in-law had with her this summer when they came to visit and be here for Mikasa’s wedding.  I studied it, duplicated it and now am sharing this little gem at my card class tomorrow.

I used the absolutely gorgeous Real Red satin ribbon, some magnetic stripping, a stamp from the Perfect Punches set and a touch of Crystal Effects and glitter.

To make the box a wonderfully easy but glamorous gift, I used the matchbox die for the Big Shot and the sparkly paper from the Candy Cane Christmas DSP pack found in the Holiday Mini Catalogue.  I had no idea how sparkly this paper was when I ordered it – it was a wonderful surprise to me!!  This paper reminds me of Dorothy’s ruby red slippers!  I also used a stamp from Tags til Christmas to give that little box a label.  Colors are Baja Breeze and Real Red.

Okay, I have to go clean up my house now for tomorrow’s big class!  Cleaning will also include trying to rid my house of the nasty scorched smell I just made by charing a few pecan pie tarts in the oven – so NOT cool today!!

Off to light a few dozen candles now…

TTFN!

Natasha

Gorgeous!!! Will you be able to do a tutorial on this as it’s just lovely? I just discovered your blog and have added you to my Reader – combining a little bit of baking and papercrafting, it’s heaven to me! 🙂
